Monsoon- A mesmerizing season

By March 25, 2022No Comments1 min read

As I sat by the window,

Holding a bowl of hot, sizzling, and buttery corn

With a cup of steaming cinnamon coffee;

What did I see?

I saw a white streak of lightning

Flashing across the luminous sky,

Like a silver yarn of thread

Oh! But to step outside I dread!

I dread the mud; I despise the potholes;

I love my mom’s strawberry jam,

But, don’t remind of the traffic jams

Though, sitting at the window I dream,

Of playing in the rain and having ice cream….

Rainbow tinted colorful umbrellas

Cast a shelter over boisterous boys and giggling girls

Chewing on pizzas of mozzarella

And munching on chocolates of Nutella!

So, as I sat by my window

Holding my bowl of hot, sizzling, and buttery corn

With a cup of steaming cinnamon coffee

This is what I see………
