You want weapons? You have BOOKS! The best weapons in THE WORLD!
Have you ever imagined why cyclones, floods, tsunamis etc happen? Some say it is because nature is angry with us. And what is the reason for that, the reason is that some of us trouble her by littering oceans, cutting the trees, spoiling the mountains for metal etc. An inspiring and one of my personal favourites, author Katie Bagli thought that maybe she should do her part in saving the world, so she wrote a beautiful book called How Blue is Our Planet?
It is a book on nature, where there are loads of marvellous stories like a never-ending treasure chest. These stories are mixed with entertainment and nature. All of them have a fact file at the end. It gives information through stories which don’t give the monotonous effect of reading a boring old GK book. For a person like me who is not well connected to the global environment, it is a good way to acquire more knowledge on the same. This book is perfect for 8+ kids as they will learn a lot of stuff without realizing it.
I had great pleasure in reading this book as I felt better learned and informed about what was happening in the environment also I loved the fact files at the end which are very useful for research assignments or projects. If you too like me are clueless about what is going on in the nature, this a perfect read for you.
