Dear Diary,
Today was my birthday and I was hurt. In the morning, I was sure that the first call would be from my best friend, Linda. But I was mistaken. The morning turned to evening and I still didn’t receive a message or a call. Foolishly, I expected that she was planning a party for me and would drive over with her mom to surprise me with her famous glazed doughnuts. Suddenly, my phone gave a ting and I hastily went to grab it assuming it was Linda. To my horror, she had sent “me” a picture of her partying with the most popular girl in the school, Sophia! I swiped to see the next picture and in that Linda was popping a chocolate doughnut in Sophia’s mouth!!! I was fuming with anger and stormed around the house growling at everyone. After a few hours of snapping, I cooled down and told myself that it was her loss that she had just lost a loyal friend. I was lucky that I got rid of a deceiving friend. Grinning, I went up to my mom and apologized for barking at her too.
